Make sure you check out your university website for important updates on the procedures needed for freshmen. Do also read on the syllabus for your course ssru, and try to obtain a concept of the what the topics are about. Some universities also provide prep courses for students to read up before term starts. If these are available, don’t lose out on a chance to equip yourself with some knowledge before entering university. As lecturers in the university aren’t planning to spoon-feed you with information, you will find these prep course very useful in helping you understand what is taught during lectures.
If you have the opportunity, happen to be your university campus and take a tour of the environment, merely to familiarise yourself. Record the full time taken for travel so that you can plan your trips when term starts in order not to be late. Personal alarms might be useful if classes end late in the night since the campus could be dark and quiet, and therefore dangerous.
Not forgetting the fun section of planning to university, you can go shopping for new clothes, bags, stationery, etc. so that you look nice and feel confident when stepping into unfamiliar surroundings. Make the most of the sales to really get your equipment as the expense of these things really can pile up.
